Urban study of the city center and the station district of Le Pontet

The study explores the potential arrival of a tramway line and the reopening of Le Pontet railway station, located in the northern suburbs of Avignon. This represents a major opportunity for urban regeneration, both within the historic village center and around the station district. The urban transformation strategy is developed through a new masterplan framework, introducing new urban focal points connected by a network of green corridors and active mobility routes. By promoting sustainable connections between neighborhoods and prioritizing public transport accessibility, the project encourages a more resilient and inclusive urban model. The densification of areas surrounding public transport infrastructure offers a significant opportunity to enhance the quality of life in peri-urban territories while limiting urban sprawl and strengthening local identities.
