The aim of the project is to ensure that the Alibeyköy interchange, where the M7 metro and T5 tram meet, is as intermodal as possible, with buses, minibuses and other means of access, as well as walkways. The study included several scenarios in which the pedestrian connection with the dense surrounding hills was a key issue. Solutions involving escalators, urban lifts and the pacification of lanes were all part of the accessibility package. The study also led to the drafting of a programming and implementation manual for the Greater Istanbul interchanges.
