The implementation of the first mass transport line in Abidjan is an opportunity to transform the city on the city in order to limit low-density urban sprawl at high social and environmental cost. The study identifies a strong necessity for urban renewal which involves the decompartmentalization of the disciplines of traffic, mobility, town planning, land, housing and municipal services. The workshops made it possible to identify and propose operational tools for urban renewal that are realistic and adapted to the sub-Saharan context, and specifically Ivorian and Abidjan.
