Multimodal interchange hub for Saint-Jean-De-Luz train station

The project forms part of the ongoing extension and transformation of the city centre. The proposed multimodal interchange is structured around three key objectives:

  • a comprehensive enhancement of the urban quality of the RD810 corridor, integrating dedicated Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lanes and creating a more attractive, pedestrian-friendly boulevard;
  • the relocation of surface parking to a multi-storey facility on the southern side of the site, directly connected to the bus station, thereby freeing up valuable public space;
  • implementation of a city-wide traffic calming strategy, supported by a continuous network of high-quality pedestrian and cycling routes, both parallel and perpendicular to the railway corridor, to improve accessibility and urban connectivity.
