Located along the banks of the Gave River, the future multimodal interchange hub for Pau railway station is part of a broader urban regeneration strategy structured around three complementary components: the interchange hub, the renewal of the surrounding neighborhood, and the creation of an urban nature park. The project promotes a sustainable mobility model that prioritizes pedestrians, cyclists, and public transport, while maintaining an appropriate and balanced role for private vehicles. Landscape is a defining element of the proposal, with extensive planting of native species creating a strong local identity, enhancing biodiversity, and reinforcing the relationship between the city and the river.
