CETUD, the Dakar Transport Authority , aims for this study to establish a framework for the successfull integration of public transport within major infrastructure projects across Greater Dakar. This historic corridor, subject to increasing pressure from access demands towards the peninsula, also provides a key connection to the Port of Dakar, which is currently facing challenges in improving its land-based rail connectivity. The study concludes with a two-phase strategy. In the long term, it recommends prioritising buses operating on segregated bus lanes, in coordination with the ongoing modernisation of the railway network and the implementation of the BRT system, both of which are nearing completion.
