Masterplan of La Lopé

The Village of Lopé serves both as the gateway to and an enclave within the UNESCO-listed National Park of Lopé. The site’s environmental dimension is intrinsic to its identity and to the Village’s relationship with the National Park. The objective of the Master Plan is to provide a coherent vision for the territory through a sustainable development strategy that balances controlled urban growth with the preservation and enhancement of its natural environment. The Plan seeks to protect and promote these natural assets while strengthening the area’s attractiveness and increasing its appeal as a tourist destination.
