The project reimagines the B-23 corridor as a multifunctional ecological infrastructure that serves as the city’s new backbone. Sensitive to the existing urban fabric, it accommodates a wide range of public uses while ensuring long-term environmental, social, and economic sustainability. More than a transport corridor, it creates strong physical, ecological, and social connections across the city. The proposal promotes a shift towards sustainable mobility by reducing dependence on private vehicles, enhancing public transport, and prioritizing walking and cycling. A continuous network of green and ecological corridors preserves and strengthens urban biodiversity, reconnects fragmented landscapes, and reinforces the city’s green infrastructure at both the urban and territorial scales.
